How to Improve The Security of Your CoinTR Account?

The cryptocurrency industry is growing day by day. Every day, more people interested in cryptocurrencies do research on the internet looking for the answer to the question of how to buy cryptocurrencies. Not only new investors but also expert traders register and buy and sell on different cryptocurrency exchanges to meet their different needs. The common thing that all investors look for in a stock market is trust. As CoinTR, we are committed to storing your digital assets safely in our 3rd generation system. Meanwhile, we are trying to provide a safe and secure cryptocurrency buying and selling experience by offering different options that our users can do to secure their accounts.

Ensuring the security of their accounts is an important step that all our users must take after completing their membership process.

Some of the security measures we recommend as CoinTR to secure your account and reduce the possibility of hacking are included in our article.

9 Ways to Keep Your CoinTR Account Secure

1.Secure Your Account with a Strong Password

A strong password; It must be a combination of letters, special characters and numbers and consist of at least 8 characters (the more characters, the stronger the password). Passwords are often case sensitive. Therefore, a strong password should consist of both uppercase and lowercase letters.

2.Do not share your account details such as your e-mail address and other information with anyone

In order to complete the withdrawal process at CoinTR, both email and number and Google Authentication (2FA) are required. Therefore, you also need to secure your registered email account.

3.Protect Your Email Account Address Linked to Your CoinTR Account with a Strong Password

We strongly recommend that your e-mail address registered with CoinTR and the passwords of your CoinTR account are different. To create a strong password, you can follow the password suggestions in item 1.

4.Protect your accounts with Google Authenticator (2FA)

2FA verification is a solution that will largely prevent hacker access to your accounts. We recommend that you protect not only your CoinTR account but also your e-mail address with 2FA or equivalent protection support.

Please see official guides from major email service providers on how to add 2FA to Gmail, ProtonMail, iCloud, Hotmail and Outlook and Yahoo Mail.

5.Do not use CoinTR with an unsecured public WiFi connection

We recommend using your mobile device's cellular data to use CoinTR when you are in a public place. Connecting to WiFi networks in public areas increases the risk of hacker access. For maximum security, we also recommend that you choose mobile CoinTR applications instead of browsers.

6.Anti-virus

Installing a good anti-virus system on your computer reduces the possibility of hacking by regularly performing full system scans for possible viruses on your computer. We recommend that you get a reliable anti-virus application.

7.Log out of your account manually

Do not forget to manually log out of your account when you will not use your computer for a long time.

8.Add Login Password

It is recommended that you add a login password, security lock or Face ID to your smartphone/desktop/laptop to prevent unauthorized persons from accessing your device and its content.

9.Do not use the autofill function or save passwords in your browser

Your safety is our priority. If you have additional questions about the security of your account or want to make a report regarding its security, you can contact us 24/7 through our customer representatives.
