IMPORTANT CHANGES IN CRYPTO ASSET TRANSFER PROCESSES

Dear CoinTR User,
As of February 25, 2025, in compliance with international standards under the “Travel Rule” and regulations issued by the Financial Crimes Investigation Board of Türkiye (MASAK), it will become mandatory to collect additional information regarding the sender and recipient for crypto asset deposit and withdrawal transactions on the CoinTR platform. This regulation has been introduced to align with legal measures aimed at preventing money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
Implementation Details
When conducting transactions, you will be required to provide additional details such as the sender’s and/or recipient’s identity, contact information, and, if necessary, address details. These requirements are mandated by international financial regulations and MASAK directives to ensure compliance with legal obligations.
Providing accurate and complete information is crucial to ensuring smooth and uninterrupted processing of your crypto asset deposits and withdrawals. In cases where the requested information is missing or incorrect, transactions may be delayed or canceled.
These security measures are designed to enhance platform security, prevent fraud, and combat other illicit activities. By implementing these measures, CoinTR is reinforcing its commitment to protecting both its users and the broader cryptocurrency ecosystem.
To fully comply with international financial regulations and local legal requirements, the collected data will be processed and stored in accordance with applicable laws.
